Weigh-in 29: A Sad Weekend

Well I am happy that I ditched 2lbs this week but not so happy that we had some bad news.  My wife’s grandmother passed away, she was in her 80’s; many Indonesians that live in the villages don’t have birth certificates so we are unsure what age she was exactly.

She was a great lady and will be well missed.  She gave birth to 13 babies and all by herself.  She told me how she would bite down on a rubber tube and Susan’s uncle would wait outside until the baby was born.

I won’t be pulling at my wife to photograph me today as she is still down.  I will promise to get some new photos up asap.

Sorry about Grandma. It’s sad when you lose such a family matriarch. My grandmother is 84 and has just begun passing on a lot of family stuff to me and my daughter. It’s odd watching her prepare for her own death. I hope your wife can remember her grandmother fondly and know that her life was full of joy and fulfilling experiences.

Congrats on the loss.

Hi Irene, thanks so much for your kind words I have passed them on to my wife.

We have bought our plane tickets to fly over to see Susan’s mum and granny at Christmas; it would have been Susan’s gran’s fist time to meet Daniel, our son.

Take care,
Andrew
