Free Your Mind From Dead Weight!
One thing that I have experienced in my life that I would like to share with you that I know will help you with your fitness goals although it will help you in more ways than just fitness.
With my own experience I setout to talk to people and I have had the chance to scratch 2 physiologist’s brains and a qualified counselor’s brain too and all has shown me that I am on the right track.
When we are setout to accomplish something great there are some dead weight of our minds that will keep you back from achieving that/those goals.
It is important as you know to have a strong and healthy mind so that you can use all your mind’s energy to focus on the journey that will lead to these goals.
Ok let me get into what they are, this will surprise you!
UNFORGIVENESS
Harboring something that someone done to you or said to you seems like a really logical thing to do and almost natural. Your hurt so you resent.
But what unforgivness does to you is it increases your bitterness it will also darken your character that others see because usually if you have unforgivness for someone then it will come out of your mouth and you will most likely gossip about them to others.
You are bitter because you hurt and if you harbor something against someone and don’t start practicing forgivness then it all builds up; the hurt stays with you, you can’t get rid of it unless you forgive.
And what’s bad about that? Any physiologist or counselor will tell you that if you have hurt that is not dealt with then you will most likely hurt other people, and usually it’s the ones that you love the most; family and friends.
Hurting people, hurt people.
It’s not easy to be a forgiver. From my own experiences it takes practice and sometimes you put on a mask and say you forgive when you really don’t. But being able to say, “I forgive you!” is a good start, don’t wait for the feeling to come first.
Ok on to the next thing, a rather touchy topic.
UNTRUTHFULNESS
Physiologists and counselors will tell you that it’s socially impossible to make friends (and keep them) if you go around telling the truth all the time. I regard myself as an integrate Christian, but I would have to agree with them on this one!
Having that lie that you told follow you around and you need to remember it because if you don’t remember then someone will find out and you’ll be caught!
When your/our untruthfulness is about to be uncovered we dig it deeper with more lies to cover up the main lie.
The apprehension and tension will effect your bodies functions and as we know cause sleeping problems which will also cause more problems with your mind and body.
Hiding something from someone like; cheating on your husband/wife, lying to your boss to cover a mistake, cheating on a test at school, etc. These will all weigh down on your mind causing your energy and physiological wellbeing to be effected greatly and taking away from your focus on that goal, your dream.
I hope this helps and you can dig deep inside of yourself and turn over some stones and let the worms crawl out into the open, it’s not easy but it will be worth it. Remember it’s all about DISCIPLINE OR REGRET.
