Blogger Interview: Mike Foster from LiveLife365.com
Ok it’s time to Live Life 365 days a year with Mike Foster from LiveLife356.com. Mike’s blog I can tell you now is very unique and Mike himself is a barrel of laughs! But not only that Mikes LiveLife365.com is the place you need to visit for top videos and articles that will assist you in your fitness lifestyle.
Hi Mike, thanks for taking the time to do this interview. So lets start with where you live?
I live in Chico, California, but I grew up in New England. Actually, I am in my hometown in Rhode Island as I write this.
And what do you do for a living?
I am in the health insurance industry, have been since 1981, the year my son was born and I had to earn a decent living…which I have been able to do since then.
Cool, so when did you start LiveLife365.com?
livelife365 was a concept I have been working on for years, but it did not come to fruition until early this year, with the development of my video website. I went online “live” in March of this year.
Yeah the videos are great packed with top tips on living healthy, they have really benefited me. And what was the motivating factor that made you start LiveLife365.com?
I wanted a venue where I could help people and share information using more than just the written word. Videos are the present and future of the Internet, and with my theatrical training it was a natural mix. That said, I have been a writer for over two decades and love writing my blog as much as making my vids.
Oh so you have had theatrical training, it shows! You are very humorous in your articles and videos, so what’s your favorite joke of all time?
Amazingly, I am a horrible joke teller–always have been. My humor is a natural gift that is seldom rehearsed.
So you posses more of a spontaneous humor gifting, that’s good and great to capture on your vids. So Mike what are your tips for anyone wanting to get into a fitness lifestyle?
Depends on what exactly they are trying to accomplish, but it always starts with understanding that they control what they put in their mouths–both the amounts and the types of foods. Nutritional education is vital, as is making every calorie count. And staying active, not just physically, but mentally and spiritually.
That’s spot on, being active holistically, and what about exercise? Do you have any tips for us?
Walking, for me, is the easiest way for almost anyone to get started. But light weights (at first) deliver amazing results, and are vital for you now and for the rest of our life. And weightlifting burns more calories than you could imagine.
Personally, what do you think is the most difficult thing about living a fitness lifestyle and how did you go about conquering it?
I think the biggest challenge for most people, myself included, is staying motivated over the long-term. Most people can keep up with a program for a few months, but long-term is difficult. The solution is to incorporate your fitness goals into your everyday life; make healthy living a WAY of life.
Yes that was something that I came across; I noticed that my efforts were slipping because my workouts were interfering with my everyday life, not accompanying them like they should. I sorted that out and now my workouts are apart of me.
You must enjoy what you are doing over at LifeLife365.com, how has the site changed your life and what fulfillment do you get out of it?
The greatest thing about livelife365 has been the amazing feedback I have received. I especially enjoy hearing from people like you, Andrew, who report to me that programs or tips I suggested have helped them change their lives–it is a wonderful feeling.
And it has, I got some great tips while at LiveLife365 about the fiber content of my diet and it has brought me up to a new level. And finally, what is your life’s motto?
Live life every day every way…peace
