You might find the “Crossfit” site of interest. Like you, Ive been banging away on the CV machines for hours and found myself not getting very far. Then I discovered Crossfit. And their maxim “Routine is the enemy”. Basically our bodies are like the Borg – they adapt – and they adapt frighteningly quickly. We need to keep shocking them in order for exercise to be effective. I wouldnt be surprised if thats what your personal training is doing. Taking you out of the comfort zone and making sure your body doesnt become complacent :)

Hope to get up my own weight loss blog soon. When I do I’ll drop a line. Best of luck in the meantime

Thanks for your comment. I have been to the Crossfit site, that will definitely give you a good workout!

Yes my PT has me in bits, well out of any known comfortzone; but it’ll all be worth it in the end :-)
